Prices

  • HIGH SEASON: € 1540 per week (july and august; min. stay 7 nights)
  • LOW SEASON: € 220 per day (min. 3 nights) / € 1400 per week (september to june)

Cancellation

  • If cancelled more than 60 days before the start date, no cancellation fee is due.
  • If cancelled between 60 and 30 days before the start date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed price is due.
  • Cancellation 30 days or less before the start date is subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the agreed price.

Details

Casa Flor de Sol is a very private property. The Casa is our beloved refuge. To get the special qualities of quiet luxury, relaxation and enjoyment, here are the details:

Rental Confirmation/Number of Persons

With the rental confirmation, the rental contract concluded between the tenant and the house owner becomes valid. The rental agreement is binding. The vacation home may only be occupied by the number of persons listed in the rental confirmation (max. 8 persons).

The house offers:

  • A bedroom with a large double bed (queen size) and two single beds for children or adults.
  • A bedroom overlooking the Sierra and the terrace, with a queen-size double bed.
  • A bedroom overlooking the Sierra and terrace with a bed for two children or teenagers.
  • A baby or toddler bed is available.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor of the house.

Families

Casa Flor de Sol is perfect for a family vacation with children. The garden is enclosed by a surrounding wall, making the pool inaccessible for younger children while providing plenty of water fun for older ones. In total, the house has two bedrooms (1 queen-size double bed, 2 single beds for adults or children, and 1 double bed on the mezzanine) as well as 1 children’s bedroom (2 beds). Please inform us before your stay if you need a baby crib.

Arrival and departure

Arrival at the earliest at 16:00, departure at the latest at 11:00. Deviations gladly after arrangement. Unless otherwise agreed, the tenant will be given a house key upon arrival. The key must be returned to the house owner or his representative immediately upon departure.

Pets

Pets may be brought only if this is expressly mentioned in the rental confirmation.

Cleaning

The house must be kept clean by the tenant during the stay and must be returned in the same condition in which it was taken over. The house will be left in a tidy condition. We leave old carpets on the second floor and kindly ask you not to walk on them with street shoes. Please walk in the house with slippers only.

Smoking is not allowed in the apartment.

Kitchen

Please note that some cooking utensils and serving utensils made of wood, horn, mother of pearl, other natural materials and some plastic items need to be washed by hand. With your attention and help, the house team will have enough time to clean them. Please do not leave food traces to avoid ant infestation. You will receive a house book with more tips on how to maintain the kitchen.

WiFi

The house is equipped with a satellite system for internet. WiFi is available everywhere in the house, terrace, garden and pool area. You will receive the password at check-in.

Fireplace & BBQ

If you come at a time of year when the nights are still cool, it may help to light the fireplace in the living room or the stove in the kitchen and snuggle up in the blankets we have available.

Keep the lid on top of the Esse stove open during the fire. Start with kindling wool and a small amount of kindling wood stacked loosely in the center, plus thinner logs on top. To light, the filter knob should be pulled, and the air supply should be all the way to the right. If the fire burns stably, push in the filter knob, and adjust the air supply to the left. Detailed instructions can be found in the house book.

Our gardener can provide you with the grill (gas).

Fire hazards

Please do not leave fires or candles unattended – either indoors or outdoors. There is a high risk during the dry season, so never throw cigarettes out of the car. In Andalusia, no fires should be lit in the yard or on the patio from May to October. Our gardener can inform you about the exact times. Fire extinguishers are located

  • in the living room to the left of the fireplace
  • in the kitchen in the alcove next to the sofa
  • on the upper floor by the banister
  • in the garden house
  • in the gas grill

Swimming Pool – Etiquette

Please shower before entering the pool. Our pool uses almost no chemicals and therefore cannot tolerate heavy organic contaminants such as sunscreen.

Change of bed linen and towels

The bed linen is fresh upon your arrival. For stays longer than seven (7) nights, linens will be changed on the seventh (7th) day. One beach towel per person for 7 nights is also included.

Cosmetics

You are welcome to use Meraki organic skin and hair care products that we provide in your bathrooms. Please do not take the bottles with you – we will refill them for the next guests.

Stockage

We leave most closets unlocked because we prefer a relationship of trust. However, we reserve the right to charge additional fees should household items be taken out.

Check-out

At the end of your stay, make sure the house is in the same condition you found it when you arrived and that all borrowed items have been returned. In particular, the kitchen should be left clean and tidy, dishes and glasses should be cleaned and put away, trash cans emptied, and perishable food discarded.

  • Wet or damp towels should be taken to the laundry room.
  • Place all keys in the key box at the entrance to the house.
  • There should be two sets of keys.

Liability for possible damages

The tenant assumes liability for all items located in the house during the rental period and is responsible for any damage caused. In case of damage, the tenant is obliged to inform the host/owner. Damage not reported before departure will be repaired at the expense of the tenant. Damage caused during the rental period will be repaired as soon as possible, subject to the usual delivery times. No insurance has been taken out on the part of the homeowner to provide coverage for the renter and his personal belongings during the rental period.

Waste disposal

Dumpsters for residual waste are located at the top of the village exit and at the gathering hall down the street. We ask that you separate glass, plastic, paper, and compostable waste. Compost is located in the garden, containers for recyclables are located in El Talenque.

If you have any complaints about your experience at Casa Flor de Sol or about this website, please contact info@casaflordesol.eu. You will also find a formal complaint book “Libro de reclamaciones” in the house where you can put your complaint in writing. We will make every effort to respond as soon as possible and resolve any issues.
